Indel variation in great apes compared to HG18 reference genome.

These VCFs contain both polymorphic and fixed indels in each of the genera studied in the project.
Filtering steps are described in the Supplementary Information (doi:10.1038/nature12228).
*waning*Fixed events were validated using Sanger sequencing and reference genomes but polymophic variants do not have further experimental validation. These calls were obtained with GATK (v.1.6-5) after combined indel realignment. Better indel callers may be available and that would produce better quality on these variants.
